COLUMBUS, Ohio—A 20-year-old male died at a local hospital after his vehicle crashed into a utility pole Monday morning.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Authorities were called to the area of Taylor Road and Hembright Road on the city’s East Side shortly before 9 a.m. on reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Authorities said the driver was traveling southbound on Taylor Road when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.

The victim was flown to Grant Medical Center for treatment.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital before noon Monday.

Taylor Road was closed during the crash investigation.

Police did not release additional information currently.
