2 Females Transported After E. Broad Crash

WHITEHALL—Two females were injured when a two-vehicle accident closed East Broad Street late Friday morning.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of East Broad, or state Route 16, were closed right before 11 a.m.

The closure was at Maplewood Avenue, near the Town And Country Shopping Center.

The roadway reopened to traffic a few minutes before noon.

Whitehall authorities were called to the scene of the two-vehicle accident

An elderly female was transported to Grant Medical Center after she was extricated from her vehicle. A second female victim was transported to Mount Carmel Medical Center East, according to scanner traffic.

Both of the victims were transported in stable condition, Whitehall police said.
