CANTON, Ohio—Police in Canton say they arrested a man accused in the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old girl in her home.  Police say 21-year-old William Hiram Ferguson was one of two men who entered the home Thursday night and demanded money. The toddler, Harmoney Sankey, was shot and killed, and her grandfather was assaulted and shot in the leg.  Police say Ferguson surrendered to authorities Saturday morning in Elyria. The other suspect remained at large. Police have not commented a motive. The grandfather was treated and released from a hospital.

Ferguson is being held in lieu of $5 million bond at the Stark County Jail on charges of complicity to murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

What a couple of pieces of trash! They should both automatically receive the death penalty with no questions asked. It takes a real monster to kill a 2 year old.

Unfortunately, with that being said I’m sure there are going to be bleeding hearts saying that they had a bad childhood and lived in a bad neighborhood, blah, blah, blah, etc., etc., and they need counseling, what a bunch of crap!

you’ve got to be kidding me. who would kill an innocent baby who couldnt hurt him, and only shoot the grampa in the leg? i mean, why do either, but you would think he wouldve been more likely to kill a threat, and leave the child alone. sick man :(
