The cause of a Knox County fatal house fire earlier this month remains undetermined.
CENTERBURG, Ohio—The cause of a Knox County fatal house fire earlier this month remains undetermined.
The fire occurred at a home on Oliver Road in Centerburg at about 10:20 p.m. on Nov. 12.
Jeff Hurst was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the State Fire marshal’s office, the fire was ruled undetermined.
Following an extensive on-scene investigation, several interviews and a review of physical evidence, investigators could not rule out accidental or intentional causes.
Should investigators receive new information, the case could be re-opened and investigators could determine the validity of the new information they receive.
