Condemned Inmate Wants His Ohio Execution Delayed

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A death row inmate has asked the Ohio Supreme Court to delay his upcoming execution in light of problems with the state’s last scheduled lethal injection.

Attorneys for Lawrence Reynolds filed a motion with the state’s highest court Monday, days after a similar filing with a federal appeals court.

Reynolds’ execution scheduled for Oct. 8 would be the first since the state’s unsuccessful attempt at putting Romell Broom to death on Sept. 15. The lethal injection procedure was halted by Gov. Ted Strickland after executioners struggled for two hours to find a usable vein.

Broom’s execution has been delayed until at least Nov. 30.

Reynolds’ lawyers argue that Ohio’s lethal injection system should be investigated before he goes to the death chamber.

Umm, excuese me…

I would like to take this chance to ask the Ohio Supreme Court to please not delay, in fact speed up this execution.  In light of the fact that this man is a CONVICTED MURDERER and he wasting my tax money.

Thanks

It looks like this guy is going to get a reprieve.  When will he be getting the lawsuit started against OHIO for cruelity?  probably making millions so his prison life will be ‘suitable’ and agreeable. Meanwhile, the Family of his victum, and our society, gets to keep him well fed and happy.
GREAT, JUST GREAT….WE NEED A VIGILANTE GROUP. OUR LAWMAKERS ARE LETTING OUR SOCIETY DOWN.

The problems incurred while trying to submit the lethal injections was all his own fault because he used to shoot up drugs they couldn’t find his veins.  His issue, his fault, deal with it!  NO CONSIDERATION was given to his victim and I feel NO CONSIDERATION should be awarded to him.  JUST DO IT!  No delay is going to make his veins ‘magically appear’. We’ve spent enough of our taxes keeping this scum alive for so many years when this money could have been better spent providing us with the police and fire protection so desperately needed.  Focus on the Priorities people, priorities!

wha-wha-wha! another coward who does not want to take his medicine like a man. He could not live like a man, he should try to die like one. Come on you coward, belly up to the bar and at least pretend to be a man.

Was Loretta Foster (murder victim) afforded the same consideration before Lawrence Reynolds killed her?
