Consumer Group Admits Zhu Zhu Toys Not Dangerous
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Just days after a consumer group claimed one of the season’s hottest toys unsafe, the group is making a correction.
The online consumer group Good Guide says it was wrong to claim they found unsafe levels of tin and a heavy metal in the Zhu Zhu Pets robotic hamsters because its test results are not recognized by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for judging toy hazards.
The CPSC says the popular hamsters do not violate any safety standards and are not out of compliance with the U.S. Toy Safety Laws.
Good Guide also retracted their claim that International Playthings’ My First Purse was a dangerous toy.
