MARYSVILLE, Ohio—Authorities pulled a man’s body out of a creek Tuesday.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Marysville police and fire units were dispatched to a reported body in Mill Creek near the 400 block of North Sycamore Street Tuesday afternoon.

Officers found a male body in the middle of the creek, floating in about three feet of water.

Fire crews recovered the body.

There were no obvious signs of criminal activity.

The body had been in the water for some time and was not identifiable readily due to decomposition.

A local individual had been living in a camp nearby, but no identification was determined currently.

An autopsy was expected to be completed by the Licking County coroner’s office where identification will be attempted through forensic methods such as DNA, dental records or fingerprints.

The investigation continued.

Whatnext - my guess is that Union county doesn’t have a coroner and I’m sure Franklin counties are way to busy with the murders here.

autopsies on water type victims are pretty nasty to say the least.  Skin just falls off after days in the water

Why is Licking county doing an autopsy on a body found in Union county?
