COLUMBUS, Ohio—A dozen or more police cruisers made passes around an area north of state Route 315 and Ackerman Road Sunday.

Officers were looking for a driver who bailed out of a car that hit a police cruiser, police said.

He left the car there but ran off on foot.

Police said the accident, though minor and causing no injury, was the fault of the runaway driver.

Officers concentrated on Union Cemetery, several blocks north of the accident, but never found the man.

He’s described as a white male, in his 20s, with curly hair, 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing about 170 pounds and wearing khaki pants.

Anyone with information should call Columbus police at 614-645-4545.
