Deer Runs Out In Front Of Motorcyclist
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio—A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after a deer ran out in front of him Sunday afternoon.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Freddie M. Reedy, 54, of Rarden, was operating a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on U.S. Route 23 at Eastern Avenue.
He struck a deer that was trying to cross the roadway. Reedy next struck the roadway and a concrete bridge rail.
The one-vehicle crash happened at 3:26 p.m., according to troopers.
Reedy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Chillicothe post.
He suffered a head injury.
Reedy was transported from the scene to Adena Regional Medical Center by Scioto Township EMS and later flown to OSU Medical Center Main by Med-Flight.
Reedy remained still in serious condition early Monday.
Reedy was operating his motorcycle with a suspended license, troopers said.
The crash remained under investigation.
