Fatal Crash Claims 1 On The Outerbelt

One person was killed in a fatal crash on the city’s East Side early Saturday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Columbus Division of Police continued to investigate a one-vehicle fatal crash that happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday.
Valerie J. Chapman, 45, was traveling southbound on the Easton Way exit ramp from I-270 when her 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe crashed into the concrete median about 1:15 a.m.
She died at the scene at 1:29 a.m.
The exit ramp was closed during the accident investigation. The roadways reopened to traffic early Saturday.
