WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio—A fire in Fayette County’s largest city has leveled a historic building that most recently has been home to AAA Appliances.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The fire call came in to Washington Courthouse firefighters just before midnight Friday, after they had put out a blaze at another location.

The heavy timber, brick building was involved in fire when responders arrived, and their goal was to prevent adjacent buildings from being damaged.

No injuries were known currently.

Officials were waiting for daylight and for the remains of the building to cool off to go in and investigate.

They’ll also be trying to determine the cause of the building fire.

Washington Court House.  Three words, not two.

Accuracy seems to be getting short shrift this weekend.
