ASHVILLE, Ohio —Investigators are looking for a 54-year-old man who has not been seen since a fire at his home Wednesday evening in Pickaway County.

The fire broke out at the home on Perrill Road in Ashville at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, NBC 4 reported.

Officials are searching for the home’s resident David C. Morse.

Morse’s vehicle was found at the home and, originally, firefighters believed he may have been inside when the blaze began.

Following search and rescue efforts and a thorough on-scene investigation, Morse was not located. He was the home’s only resident and has not returned home since the fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call 800-472-6033 or 800-589-2728.

At this point, officials said there is no evidence of foul play and the cause and origin of the fire remain unknown.

Two dogs died in the fire.
