Forget The Resolutions: It’s Cookie Time

CENTRAL OHIO—Forget the New Year’s resolution to count calories. It’s Girl Scout cookie time.

The Girl Scouts of America’s Black Diamond Council plans to launch its annual cookie sale Friday in the 59 counties it serves in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Ohio.

A new cookie called Dulce de Leche joins Samoas, Thin Mints and other favorites in this year’s lineup. The new cookie has caramel chips and caramel stripes. All varieties cost $3.50 per box.

Money raised by the cookie sale funds Girl Scout activities within the council’s region.

Here’s a shout out to all the Troop Cookie Moms who make Cooke Sales happen!  It takes heroic effort to get all our girls in place in front of the stores to sell Thin Mints.  Thank goodness for VolunteerSpot.com - they have a new tool free signup tool for us cookie moms and Scout Leaders that makes cookie booth scheduling so much easier!!  www.VolunteerSpot.com/girlscouts/
