2 Mothers, 2 Babies Hurt In Licking Co. Crash

HANOVER, Ohio—Four people, including two babies, were injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday morning.

Troopers said the driver of a Saturn ran a red light at state Route 16 and Marne Road and a pickup truck crashed into the Saturn.

The impact of the collision sent the Saturn into a third vehicle at the intersection.

Troopers identified a seriously injured woman as Cynthia Gard, 21, of Zanesville. Gard was the passenger in the Saturn.

Gard was transported to OSU Medical Center Main by medical helicopter.

A baby who was in the back of the vehicle was treated locally.

A second baby and a second woman also were injured, but the injuries were not life-threatening,

Both babies were in car seats.

No one else was injured, but the driver of the Saturn, 50-year-old Cindy Davey of Zanesville, will be ticketed for the red-light violation, according to authorities.
