Gahanna Couple Swaps Home With Injured Neighbor

GAHANNA, Ohio - A couple in Ohio has temporarily traded their handicapped accessible home with a neighbor who has been unable to walk since falling on a golf course last month.

Bill and Kim Reynolds say they realized they had just what Wes Orr needed. The Reynolds’ ranch style home in the Columbus suburb of Gahanna used to be occupied by a disabled resident and has a walk-in shower and a layout roomy enough for Orr’s wheelchair.

Phone numbers were rerouted, and the Reynolds, who are both 48, and 66-year-old Orr and his wife, Bobbi, made the two-way move on Sept. 19. That was the day Wes Orr was released from a rehabilitation center.

He tore the tendons from both kneecaps when he took his spill. His wife says his recovery could take months.

Good to know that there are still decent caring people in this world.

These people are truly angels on Earth.  I wish they were my neighbor.

You get back, 10 fold, what you put out.  These people have nothing but good coming to them.  How many of you would do that?  Amazing.  Between this story and the story of free puppy rescue, my faith in humanity may just get a boost.  It’s great to be reminded that it’s not “me…..me….me” with everyone.

These people are truly generous kindly souls, and goes above and beyond what being neighbors is all about!  Thank you nbc4 for letting us know about this story.  I know there are many more heartwarming and uplifting stories out there.
