PETA Appeals ‘No Manure, Urine At Statehouse’

» 17 Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio—An animal advocacy group is appealing a decision by an Ohio Statehouse board that refuses to allow 3,500 gallons of pig excrement on the building’s steps.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says an attorney sent a letter Monday asking the Statehouse executive director to review the ruling by the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board.

PETA seeks to bring manure and urine in buckets to the Capitol to support its claims that factory farms are breeding grounds for diseases such as swine flu. The group says an average farm produces 3,500 tons of animal waste annually.

The exhibit also includes a fan to disseminate odor and footage from a PETA investigation at a pig farm.

The board has agreed to allow some portions of the exhibit scheduled for Thursday.

I am sorry, PETA needs to have a line drawn.  We are hard working people here downtown, and none of us deserve to have to smell a bunch of urine and crap because PETA feels the need to make a point.  If they were smart they’d steer clear of that approach because it sure wouldn’t get my attention. I am so tired of seeing PETA down here protesting.  I do have to admit that I enjoy walking by them as they protest with a big juicy sub from Subway or Danny’s Deli.  Mmmmm, it is almost lunch time.  I love being a meatatarian. ;0)

Ohio residents, ground well sources and waterways unnecessarily tolerate far more from - CAFO - Confined Animal Feeding Operations.

The Humane Society seeks Federal reversal of Bush Administration final rule exempting CAFO’s from federal reporting requirements on hazardous emissions, CAFO exemptions from all environmental laws and current taxpayer subsidy’s to CAFO’s with ongoing hazardous environmental spills.

PETA is a antihunting, antifishing group of terrorists.

They would let every ill person in the world die to save a lab rat. They would have us all be vegans no matter the health ramifications.
Ninetyone percent of Americans eat meat. Get over it.
