MARYSVILLE, Ohio—An Ohio judge who has spoken from the bench on the evils of heroin says he’s heartbroken over his teenage daughter’s arrest on heroin charges.
Union County Common Pleas Judge Don Fraser says in a statement that he will play no role in the case of 18-year-old Shea Fraser, other than that of loving father. A visiting judge has been assigned.
Judge Fraser’s daughter was taken into custody Tuesday in Marysville in central Ohio and charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin, one count of heroin possession and one count of complicity related to heroin trafficking.
Police say she was among 18 people arrested from an undercover investigation. She remained jailed Thursday, awaiting an initial court appearance. A message seeking comment was left for her attorney.

the truth,
actually i wasn’t responding to you i was responding to jw as stated so if you need to you can always scroll back through the comments..
i for one no first hand about how herion has taking over alot of marysville and surronding suburbs. In my opion i do think that shea is getting special treatment. she got out and then got sent to a rehab across the country. I think that every one who got in trouble on drug charges i no that they all no righ from wrong. in the same sence when you are a addict your addiction makes you do things that you normally would not do. now shea was just as much at fault for what her inditment was for but everyone sees that she is getting special treatment because look. she was the first one in jail and the first one out. i just fill that rather a person has 5 counts or 1. they were all ingaging in the same things and should all get treated evenly. no one should get special treatment for who they no.. or who ther parents/father is.. i think all of these young individuals need help. they need a rehab and help. when they were all on the streets is was hard for them to get help because if u dont have insurance nobody cares about you and you cant get in to a rehab or a place for help. i just hope that they all get the help that they need and i will pray for all the familys that loved ones are locked up for this and i pray that the truth comes out and every one gets treated evenly
JW / It’s people loke you that should not comment.Look when I wrote the comment you responded to.Your comment was really stupid / Like I need you to tell me she’s out.She was booked into Tri-County on 10/27/09 at 10:59 p.m / notice I have it down to the minute. She was relesed from Tri-county on Novemebr the 5th I believe. If you need me to get the date and time down to the minute for you ,I can.Where have you been ? Under a rock.By the way there were four individuals that were named in the indictments that were already in jail on unrelated charges prior to the indictments being made public ( Four were being held in Tri-County and One in Logan ) County ).You responded to my comment about Marysville Ohio Drug Dealer Shea Fraser not recieving special treatment,Which she did.She knew about the so called Secret Indictments and was booked into the jail prior to any of the other defendents knowing any-thing.Do you know what the word Secret means. All other 16 mentioned in the so-called Secret Indictments were notified the next day when it became plublic.Do you understand that once omething become public it i no longer secret.I guess you need to get your facts straight and understand what you commenting on.She was notified prior to the rest and that was fact / so what were you getting at with your stupid comment ? You don’t got to reply unless you can provide facts because me and the general plublic are only interested in the Truth and Actual Facts , Which I have provided. What did your stupid comment achieve ?

shea fraser is out of tri county and has been. so check your info…as for the last two they busted of the 18 the news forgot to mention one that was out of state had been for almost a month before the charges arose and turned himself in as soon as he found a ride back to marysville…I am not trying to uphold for anyone they all messed up and need to pay their dues but i think none should get any favortism whatsoever because of who their parents are…
Raoul,
No need to apologize, as I don’t see a contradiction. I think people should be able to use drugs recreationally as well, but the line is drawn at the externalities. For example, I think people should be able to drink, but I don’t want them driving drunk.
Second hand smoke is unquestionably dangerous. I know some people don’t believe the science, but I do, and my first hand experience supports that. Tobacco smoke is extremely dangerous.
The Truth, who is “they” that you speak of. This law was voted on by the public. I am a libertarian, and I was extremely divided on this issue. On one hand, the market should speak, and if the public wanted smoke free areas, then it would have been created. On the other hand, second hand smoke is dangerous, and employers have a responsibility for providing a safe work environment for employees.
I’m not sure if either of you read this, but two weeks ago the Doctor in charge of drug policy in created a list of dangerous drugs, and had tobacco and alcohol above drugs like MDMA, and I believe heroin. He was sacked for his scientific thoughts. Other scientists resigned over his firing because they believe it was for political reasons.
Tobacco and alcohol are about as harmful as it gets.
I do agree with him to an extent. But I dis-agree with your commnet about the smoking band. The smoking is a big smoke-screen for a bigger plan/They are giving huge fines to violators which they the local goverment can pocket.Do you think they had your health in mind when they passed the law/you are so wrong.Look at the big picture. They control it all and if they want to stop it they can whenever they want.It kills so many but they want that,It curves the population. You live lesss / less they pay.The goverment does not want the american citizen to live past 75 years of age. This is sad but true. They hate it when people recieve social security payments for a long period of time and medicare. We live in a sick world,Thre are drugs of there that can extend life,There’s medication that can help cancer and ect.The goverment regulates those medications and makes sure that they don’t make it to the general public.I know this may sounds off the wall to you but you’ve got to have an open mind.I don’t hate our goverment and I love my country but it sick just like the herion addict.
truth,
I have to agree with thalguy on this one, we need a different direction if we are to ever make headway…other than running the deficit higher. not criticizing, but if you are not out front now, there might never be a majority opinion. contact your local representative and speak out. the “established money” can be beat, we did it here with the smoking ban. do not give up hope. So you do not think I am contradicting myself thalguy, let me explain. I feel smoking, drinking, and any other recreational drug should be legal and ones own choice to use in a responsible manner…I just do not want to drag my children(or myself) through the by-product on my way to/from public venues.
No I didn’t join them, but I don’t support the legal drug market that they have created by buying the product they over-see and profit from.I’m smart enough to know that you can’t fight City Hall.Thre is way to much much money generated by the legal drug market the Goverment has created.I just go with the flow,I am just one in a sea of people. The illegal drug market that the Goverment has created and continues to maintain at the cost of millions of lives to make thier pockets fatter will never be reversed.I look at our Goverment as one of the worst Drug Dealers ever, but they our so well organized and united it makes me sick.Hopefully one day it will all change but not until the majority of people stand up and say no more,If it were to happen in my life time ( Doubtful ) I will be in the front.
It just sounds to me like you’ve adopted the, “If you can’t beat them, join them” attitude.
The drug war has failed. Repeating the message, “Heroin addicts destroy society” does nothing to help anyone, it generates fear and panic, emotions which do not lead to rational decisions.
I agree with your comment. But I can’t fight the goverment. They are the Drug Dealers pushing Alcohol and tobacco. That would be like me trying to take on the Mexican drug Cartel with a BB Gun.It generates to much money in there filty pockets and they do’t care about ordinay citizens ...
