Licking Co. Confirms 2 More H1N1 Cases
LICKING COUNTY, Ohio—Two more cases of H1N1 influenza have been confirmed in Licking County.

The Licking County Health Department identified two additional confirmed cases of H1N1 influenza in Licking County Tuesday.
These two cases, along with a case that was confirmed July 9, brought the total number of H1N1 cases in the county to three.
Eight prior suspected cases of H1N1 flu from Licking County have been ruled out after further testing was conducted.
“Our department has confirmed the second and third cases of H1N1 in Licking County,“ Licking County Health Commissioner Joe Ebel said. “We are continuing to monitor this situation, and we will work with the Ohio Department of Health and our local health-care providers in order to take the necessary steps to protect our residents. The most effective ways to combat this flu virus, or any other flu virus, are for individuals to wash their hands frequently and to stay home if they are ill.”
