Media General Names Dan Bradley Vice President and General Manager of NBC 4

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Media General, Inc. has named Dan Bradley vice president and general manager of NBC 4 (WCMH-TV), effective July 1. Mr. Bradley has been director of digital journalism and content for WCMH. He succeeds Rick Rogala, who has accepted an executive position with Nexstar Broadcasting.

“Dan Bradley has been a leader in broadcast news for more than 30 years. He has been a driving force in our media convergence efforts, first at WFLA and then across all of our stations,” said Reid Ashe, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Dan is a man of many talents. He’s widely respected for his intelligence, energy and wit and he’ll be a strong leader for our Columbus team. WCMH is a center for multimedia innovation and Dan is the ideal person to lead it,” said Mr. Ashe.

Mr. Bradley moved to Columbus in April 2009 to become director of digital journalism and content for WCMH and before that he was vice president of news for Media General’s Broadcast Division from 2001 to April 2009. Prior to assuming the division level role, Mr. Bradley had been vice president and news director at WFLA-TV, Media General’s top-rated NBC affiliate in Tampa, Fla., where he had worked in various news capacities since 1979. Prior to joining Media General, he worked at network affiliated stations in Dayton and Toledo. An Ohio native, he is a graduate of the University of Toledo and attended The Ohio State University.
