The new store in Delaware did not replace the one that closed in Columbus. I work for the new one. They did hire a lot of people but they did have a few tranfer from other store.
Delaware folks previously had to drive to Polaris or Marion for a store.
This store sounds new.
Wait. The Georgesville Road store was replaced by the store on London-Groveport Road in Grove City.
I recant my earlier statement. I guess the Sunbury Rd. store is not one of the 3 relocated stores from 2008. :o)
Sorry. It was Meijer store #60 at 775 Georgesville Road that this new store is replacing.
Trebuin is correct… besides why would Meijer close a store East of Columbus and then move it all the way to the North? Makes no sense, Mickey4. Go Meijer!
This story is correct, the initial comment is misleading. This is in fact a new store with new jobs. The store in Canal Winchester was opened to replace the closing of the Brice Road store.
This story is misleading. The new Meijer mentioned replaced the store they closed on Brice road in 2008. The jobs simply moved they are not “new”.
