Missing Columbus Teen Found Safe In Orlando

A teenager who was being sought as an endangered missing child has been found safe, police said Friday.

ORLANDO, Fla.—A teenager who was being sought as an endangered missing child has been found safe, police said Friday.

The endangered missing child alert was issued on July 30 after 16-year-old Fathima Rifqa Bary was reported missing. She had been seen last at her north-side home on July 19.

Officials announced Friday afternoon that Bary was found unharmed in Orlando, Fla.

Police have not released further details about her condition or how she ended up in Fla.

Columbus police said arrangements were being made for her safe return to Columbus.

My guess is she ran off with a guy.  At least she’s safe now.
