COLUMBUS, Ohio—In the struggling economy, would $120 million help you out? That’s the Mega Millions prize for Friday’s drawing, but as people budget, is there still room for a few dollars to strike it rich?

The old saying is you can’t win if you don’t play, NBC 4‘s Marcus Thorpe reported.

According to area store owners, they’re seeing groups teaming up to play the lottery, rather than many individuals.

So how lucky is Ohio in the Mega Millions?

Since 2002, there have been 83 Mega Millions winners—12 from Ohio.

The last Columbus winner, Sean Harper, took home $40 million in December 2006.

The total amount in winnings for Ohioans getting all numbers right since 2002 is $1.437 billion.
