Motorcyclist Strikes Dog, Dies At Hospital

MORGAN COUNTY, Ohio—A motorcyclist died after striking a dog and crashing early Thursday morning.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The Morgan County sheriff’s office was called to an injury accident on state Route 37, near the intersection of Price Road, at about 6 a.m.

Richard Haines, 53, of Stockport was traveling west on S.R. 37 when he struck a dog, the office said.

Haines had serious visible injuries and was transported by Med-Flight to Good Samaritan Hospital. 

He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The accident remained under investigation.
