COLUMBUS, Ohio—A judge isn’t holding a hearing over whether the palm print crucial in charging an Ohio man in the killing of his identical twin should be retested.
Judge Guy Reece of Franklin County Common Pleas Court instead met privately Monday with attorneys for the prosecution and defense of defendant Derris Lewis.
Lawyers would not comment afterward.
Prosecutors have said that fingerprints and the bloody palm print linked Derris Lewis to the 2008 crime at his mother’s house. Lewis’ attorney Adam Nemann said earlier that he wants a re-test to determine if the substance on the palm print is something other than blood.
Defense witnesses testified that Lewis was in another house miles away at the time of the crime.
Lewis has pleaded not guilty. He is scheduled for re-trial next month.

If this kid was in “a house miles away” then why was his bloody handprint found on a wall? If this kid is guilty then I hope he gets the same as his twin brother…death.
The headline could have read:
“No Word On Print Retest In Ohio Twin Re-trial.“
The issue was the retesting of the print, not the nature of the crime for which the print would be used.

I thought this article would be about two people getting killed.
It is a sad thing that a family dose not care that one son kills the other.
I thought this article would be about two people getting killed. But then I guess the headline would say “2X Slaying”.
I hope they find who did this so this family can finally finish grieving and move on with thier lives.
The most pathetic thing about this story is that the family doesn’t want to know who killed this young man if it implicates his brother.
