Ganahl: No Indian Summer?

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

This is so remarkable from the coldest post season baseball game ever, to record snows over a foot in Nebraska, to nearly 20% of the country under snow cover in early October, to no hurricanes.

We are not having fall but early winter.

Last winter, the cold set in Halloween and stayed to Easter – looks like this year will be cold on the beginning end 3 weeks earlier and I would expect it to linger on the other side by a similar amount.

There is no folklore for a white Halloween, but mark it down I could see it happening in this pattern.

Highs will only be in the mid 40s for the rest of the week – normal is 67. Lows will be in the 30s.

Precipitation mostly light rain showers for the southern half the next few days and a mix with snow at night for the northern half.

I do not expect an Indian Summer this year.
