ELYRIA, Ohio—Rescuers are resuming their search for a 13-year-old boy who slipped and fell into a river in northeast Ohio.

Logan Spradlin of Elyria fell into the Black River at a riverwalk in Elyria Saturday afternoon.

Rescue efforts ended at sunset Saturday after nearly five hours of searching Saturday and began again Sunday morning.

Rescuers were using sonar Saturday along with eight divers from six area fire departments.

Elyria Fire Chief Richard Benton said debris and poor visibility in the river hindered the efforts.
