ATHENS, Ohio—A university confirmed a case of H1N1 influenza Thursday.

NBC 4 reported with information from our media partner, The Athens Messenger.

Ohio University confirmed a student tested positive for H1N1 influenza.

A specimen from a student who tested positive for Influenza A was sent last Friday by Hudson Health Center for more specific H1N1 testing, according to the university’s Web site.

Positive test results were received and confirmed Thursday.
