OSP Investigates Fatal Crash
BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – The Marysville Post of The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday evening in Logan County.
Reports say 46-year-old Jeffrey Shoemaker of West Liberty was driving northbound on County Road 5 south of County Road 118 when he lost control of his vehicle. Shoemaker traveled off of the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Shoemaker was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
This is the sixth fatal crash in Logan County in 2009.
