OSP Investigating Fatal Crash In Pike County

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a one-vehicle fatality crash in Pike County.

Troopers were dispatched to S.R. 124 in Benton Township on Saturday morning at 2:00 a.m. when it was reported an Oldsmobile Cutlass drove off the side of the road and struck a utility box and two utility poles.

Gary N. May, 20, of Piketon was pronounced dead at Pike Community Hospital.  A second occupant 18-year old Justin Hoskins of Waverly was flown to Grant Medical Center.

No further information was available.  The crash remains under investigation at this time.
