OSP Investigates Serious Crash In Marion

MARION, Ohio – The Marion post of The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a serious crash that occurred early Saturday morning on state Route 529, south of Marion-Edison Road.

Reports say 20-year-old Benjamin Sibrel of Marion was traveling southbound on S.R. 529 and failed to negotiate a curve, driving off the right side of the roadway, striking a utility pole. 

Sibrel sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.

There were three other passengers in the 1999 Eclipse who sustained serious injuries. 

Charges are pending, and the crash remains under investigation at this time.
