Patrol: Alcohol May Have Factored In Ross County Crash

ROSS COUNTY—Troopers are investigating a single-vehicle crash that injured two people early Saturday morning.

The crash occurred on Kinnamon Lane at about 2:25 a.m.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Larry D. Cuckler Jr., 23, was traveling northbound on Kinnamon Lane when he lost control of his vehicle, drove off the left side of the road and struck a bridge stanchion.

Cuckler’s passengers, Roxanne Powell, 21, and Michael Martin Jr., 23, sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals.

Powell, of Chillicothe, sustained head injuries and was flown to The Ohio State University Medical Center in critical condition.

Martin was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center and was treated and released.

Cuckler was not injured in the crash.

Officials said alcohol is believed to be a factor and the crash remains under investigation.
