PIKETON, Ohio—A spokesman for the Piketon Uranium Enrichment Plant in Pike County said that there had been some damage at the plant because of the tornado-like storm that swept through the county late Saturday afternoon.

However, according to public information officer Jack Williams, the damage has not affected the operation of plant.

Williams said engineers will look over the damage Sunday after it is light and determine how to proceed for repairs. He declined to describe the nature of the damage, saying officials wanted to see it in daylight.

A nearby resident described some damage to towers at the plant.  The plant has 2,000 workers.
