COLUMBUS, Ohio—Police found and charged the woman who allegedly left her infant daughter on the porch of an abandoned home in June.

A mail carrier found the newborn girl on the porch of a vacant house on Marble Drive, near Livingston Avenue at about 10 a.m. June 27.

Police said that on July 5, they received information that 24-year-old Nayeli Garcia was the mother of the infant.

Police went to Garcia’s workplace, interviewed her and said she allegedly admitted to leaving the newborn on the porch.

She was taken to Grant Medical Center for treatment and charged with one count of child endangering.

The infant has since been placed with a foster family.

Our government has proven in many ways that we are not important as children or elders.  The day they are treated as equals is the day they all are able to acquire employment and pay taxes.

It’s so ironic how people want to throw the book at the mother.  Do you know if she is mentally capable of understanding the whole situation?  If she was taken to the hospital, that should be an indication of some thing is not “right” with her.  Where is the mother of the baby found in the Polaris area?  Maybe the resources weren’t put into that case because so many women are infertile (probably as a result of their young college days) and that child is deemed more valuable.  The legal authorities probably do not want to find that “mother.“

Show No MERCY
No Judge should even consider anything but a long jail term. Possibly 18 yrs to get her past the age of the baby becoming an adult.
If any judge shows her any compassion then the public should DEMAND the judge resign.

She should be charged with attempted murder.  If the mail carrier had not found the infant, she would have died. Why is child abuse/neglect treated as such minor crimes in this society?
