Police Fire Baton Rounds At Kent State Rioters

KENT, Ohio—Police fired baton rounds and used pepper spray to break up hundreds of rioting college students who sparked a string of street fires at Kent State University.  Video shows students hurling furniture and street signs into the flames on Saturday night as a SWAT team in riot gear converged on the crowd. Kent police say the riot began when partying students ignored orders to disperse and pelted police officers with bottles and rocks.

Police dispatcher Rosemarie Mosher says 64 students were arrested, and several officers suffered minor injuries. Mosher says the riot occurred on an off-campus street where many students live.  Kent State spokesman Tom Neumann says the students’ behavior is inexcusable and the university is awaiting more information from police.

Kick all 64 out of school.  I guarantee it will never happen again.
