COLUMBUS, Ohio – Today several family members and friends will be running in the Columbus Marathon to honor Michael Thomas, a man who was taken away from them just six months ago.

Police still do not have a suspect in the murder of Michael Thomas.  The 34-year old was shot and killed April 4th on East Livingston Avenue in what police believe was a random act of violence.  Since then, there have been no clues, suspects or arrests.

In an effort to keep his name and story in the public eye, 14 friends and family members are running in the Columbus Marathon on Sunday.

A candle light vigil was held in Michael’s honor Saturday night.

Thank you all for running for your fallen friend.  I truly hope that somebody comes forward. If I could run, I would run for many of the fallen that there still aren’t any clues as to who did it or why. Dustin Hart was killed April 30 2007 and no clues yet.
