State Department Warning Spring Breakers

Be very careful while traveling in the Latin American country of Mexico, warns the U. S. Department of State.

Recent fighting between Mexican drug cartels and Mexican security forces is on the rise.  The violence appears isolated along the U.S./Mexican Border, not popular resort towns further down the coast.

However, Americans are being warned to stay in well known tourist spots, never go anywhere along and avoid flashing money and jewelry.

Before you leave for your spring break trip, it is best to let a loved one or friend know your itinerary.
