COLUMBUS, Ohio—A man was jailed after a SWAT standoff on the city’s West Side late Saturday.
NBC 4’s Tom Brockman reported with the FAST FACTS Sunday.
The situation started around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when CPD tried to serve a warrant at a home on North Central Avenue in Franklinton.
When officers arrived to serve the drug-related warrant, James Harrow refused to allow CPD into his home.
SWAT was called to the home and shot teargas into the home.
Harrow’s neighbors were evacuated before SWAT went in, and the city shut off power to street lines.
Some area streets also were closed to traffic during the police situation.
CPD said SWAT found Harrow inside the address with a shot gun.
Harrow was arrested without incident, and no one was injured.
