SWAT Surrounds Home, Nabs Suspect

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus SWAT officers spent hours on the scene of a north Columbus home looking for a wanted suspect.

Officers went to a home on Atwood Terrace to serve a warrant for a man wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery early Friday morning.  When the suspect would not come out, the Columbus Police SWAT team was called to the scene for assistance.  Soon, SWAT officers had the home surrounded.

After two hours, the suspect came out of the home and turned himself in.  He was taken into Columbus Police custody.

Police are not naming the suspect at this time pending further investigation and possibly additional charges.
