WILLIAMSPORT, Ohio—A school went into a low-level lockdown Friday morning after a teacher noticed a bullet in a classroom.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Friday.

Westfalls High School, part of Westfall Local Schools, was placed on a low-level lockdown for about 20 minutes after a teacher saw a bullet on a classroom floor, according to district Superintendent Randy Cotner.

Students were told to stay where they were until the sheriff’s office gave the all-clear.

The Pickaway County sheriff’s office was called to the scene and found the bullet in a corner under a computer.

Cotner said he wasn’t sure how long the bullet had been there and the sheriff didn’t tell him anything in particular about the bullet.

The lockdown was precautionary only.

Students were placed back on their regular schedules after 20 minutes or so.
