A pedigree puppy is safe after an alleged pet-store theft.
WHITEHALL, Ohio—A pedigree puppy was found safe after an alleged pet-store theft.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Tuesday.
NBC 4 reported on an alleged puppy theft earlier this week in the Crime Stoppers’ Crime of the Week.
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers asked for tips after authorities said a man and woman walked out of the East Broad Street Petland Saturday, March 21, with the pup.

Crime Stoppers said an anonymous tipster called the Petland store and told the manager where the 12-week-old puppy could be found.
The Fawn pug puppy was recovered safely.
No charges have been filed currently.
Crime Stoppers offered as much as a $2,000 reward for tips into the pup’s location. No word on whether a reward was given to the tipster.

If the puppy was found, why was it not disclosed who had it? This is the second Petland theft I’ve heard of, with the puppy soon recovered & the suspect not disclosed. If the suspect is not disclosed, it makes it look like a planned operation that gets Petland a lot of free publicity.
