COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus police was called to the North Side after a vehicle crashed into a residence Friday afternoon.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

A 20-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a home at 5425 Maple Canyon Dr., according to authorities.

The crash happened at about 2 p.m.

When the vehicle came to a stop, it almost was completely inside the home.

Witnesses said the driver hit a speed bump on Teakwood Drive and lost control. Instead of hitting the brake, he hit the gas.

A woman was inside the home when the crash happened. She wasn’t injured.

The driver was hurt and was transported to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

CPD cited the driver for failure to control.

No more immediate details were available.

Seriously?  Hit a speedbump and hit the gas instead?  Sounds like he was speeding, hit the bump, then lost control. You can’t even hit those things at 20 and leave with the car in one piece.

Bad Bad Bad house for jumping out in front of that driver. How many of these have happen this week and this month? Drivers need to watch the road and leave everything else alone.
