Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian Crossing Georgesville Road

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A pedestrian was injured Wednesday night when he attempted to cross a busy road and was struck by a vehicle.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Wade Fannin was driving southbound on Georgesville Road at Clime Road on the city’s Southwest Side at about 9:32 p.m.

At the same time, 83-year-old Rudolph Edmondson was attempting to cross eastbound across Georgesville Road, south of Clime Road.

Fannin’s vehicle struck Edmondson, CPD said.

There aren’t any crosswalks in the area.

Edmondson was transported to Mount Carmel West Medical Center in critical condition.

He remained at the hospital Thursday in serious condition.

Alcohol was not believed to have been a factor in the crash.

No charges have been filed.
