Weather Service Confirms Ross County Tornado

ROSS COUNTY—National Weather Service officials confirmed Friday that a tornado touched down as severe weather moved through the area.

Officials said the tornado touched down Thursday at about 5:15 p.m. between Tecumseh and Kingston in Ross County.

The F-0 tornado caused minor crop damage.

NWS officials said the tornado was the tenth so far in Ohio in 2009—seven have been confirmed in southern Ohio and three in northwest Ohio.
