A West Side family is displaced after their home caught on fire early Wednesday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – An early morning fire on the West Side of Columbus forced a family from their home.

NBC 4 gives you the FAST FACTS.

Columbus Fire responded to a fire on North Oakley Avenue just off West Broad Street around 1 a.m. Wednesday. 

A family living in half of a duplex home that had caught fire had all made it out safely. 

The other half of the home was vacant.

Fire officials believe the fire started in the basement of the home. 

An estimate of damage and exact cause of the blaze were unknown at this time.

The American Red Cross responded to the fire scene to assist the displaced family.
