MBA Program Focuses On Changing Careers
COLUMBUS, Ohio—The changing economy has forced many Americans to reevaluate where their career paths will take them.
With that in mind, Ohio University is ramping up its professional MBA program in hopes of getting people ready for a new career while holding onto their old one, NBC 4‘s Marcus Thorpe reported.
The program offers students a chance to attend classes on a part-time basis while working full-time.
The cost is not cheap—$29,000 for the two-year program.
The program does offer advantages though. Students will stay in the same class with the same faces for the entire program.
In the past, that detail has allowed contacts to be made and kept beyond the course and resulted in partnerships and job opportunities.
Coursework for the newest group begins in August 2009, but registration deadlines are approaching quickly.
Many of the faces in the current professional MBA program are switching life tracks or are considering making a change.
