Folks Bundle Up For Jingle Bell Run

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Folks are bundling up to raise money for arthritis research Saturday morning.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The Jingle Bell Run and Walk is a big deal and is growing every year. It serves the 46 million Americans and 300,000 children living with arthritis.

And there's nothing like the sound of hundreds of people ringing in the sound of hope.

The Downtown event stepped off at 10 a.m. Before that, the youngsters got a shot at the snowflake walk and other pre-event fun.

NBC 4 is a proud sponsor of the event.

Gymnast Mary Lou Retton will be there signing autographs. Storm Team 4 Meteorologist Bob Nunnally is the event emcee.

There will be street closings in effect Saturday morning. The run was expected to be finished by noon.

Nationwide Boulevard will be closed beginning at 9:30 a.m. between High and Fourth streets. There will be rolling closures along the course as the run progresses. 

Jingle Bell Run Route: Start at Nationwide Boulevard and High Street, south on High Street to Sycamore Street , east on Sycamore Street to Third Street, north on Third Street to Livingston, east on Livingston Avenue to Fourth Street, north on Fourth Street to Nationwide Boulevard and west on Nationwide Boulevard to the finish line at High Street.
