Ohio Electors To Cast Ballots

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A slate of Ohio’s 20 electors is ready to cast their ballots for president and vice president.
Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner convened the 52nd Ohio Electoral College at noon Monday in the Ohio Senate.
Ohio’s 20 electoral votes were cast by electors representing Barack Obama and Joe Biden, the presidential and vice presidential candidates who received the most votes in November.
Ohio electors include Gov. Ted Strickland and Ohio Democratic Party chairman Chris Redfern.
The results go the president of the U.S. Senate, the U.S. archivist and federal court in Columbus.
Electors in 50 states and the District of Columbia will cast 537 votes Monday. A majority of 270 required is for election.
