WILMINGTON, Ohio—DHL Express has decided to move U.S. hub operations for its international business to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Company spokesman Jonathan Baker confirmed the move Friday, after word leaked out following an announcement to employees Thursday night at Wilmington’s DHL Air Park.
Baker says DHL would reactivate its fully automated sorting facility at the Cincinnati-area airport, a facility that DHL used from 1983 until its move to Ohio in 2005.
The company had announced last May that it was leaving Wilmington, a city of 12,000 about 30 miles southeast of Dayton.
