Moving Bus Hurts Driver

CINCINNATI—Transit officials in Cincinnati say a bus driver was hurt on the head when his bus moved while he was doing a routine morning inspection.

Spokeswoman Sallie Hilvers with the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority says it’s not clear if the driver was struck by his bus Tuesday or if he was injured trying to stop it inside a downtown bus garage. Hilvers says the man was taken to a hospital with a head wound and complaining of chest pains.

His name, age and condition were not immediately available. Hilvers says he has been with the bus system for three years.

She says drivers look over their buses with the engines running before beginning their routes.
