CINCINNATI—Police say a Cincinnati officer was taken to the hospital after his cruiser flipped over onto its roof during a chase on an interstate highway.

The officer was able to climb out of his car following the early-morning crash on Interstate 71 and was walking and talking with police at the scene.

Cincinnati police Capt. Russell Neville says the officer had no apparent injuries but was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital as a precaution Tuesday.

Police say the station wagon being chased was found abandoned a few hours later in Greendale, Ind.
